Applicants are required to undertake home care in the Newham Area. Duties include providing all aspects of personal care to elderly people within their own homes. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010. Purpose of Role: • To provide personal care support services to individuals in their own homes • To provide domestic support services to individuals in their own homes • To provide social support services to individuals in their own homes and community Duties • Washing/bathing a person’s body and hair • Dressing • Toileting • Helping them with their personal appearance • Helping them to eat and drink • Meal preparation • Emptying the commode Additional Duties • Shopping • Showing an interest in the person through talking and listening
