About Quilombo UK
We at Quilombo UK are committed to creating stronger communities that understand and are accepting of a multi-cultural society. In Brazil, a Quilombo is the name of the settlement of freed slaves. It was the haven created out of freedom and the place where the many different African tribes held captive came together to form one community, alive with culture, music, dance and life.
We love that Britain is becoming a country of mixed race. Like the Quilombos, we think that our communities are enriched by this diversity and we want to celebrate this by bringing together the local community into a cohesive unit alive with culture, music, dance and life!
We are looking for volunteers who share our passion and want to give something back to the community. We have lots of opportunities including office and administration support, PR and Marketing, Fundraising, volunteering at our events and more.
