The Role of Commis Waiter/Ress at The Lanesborough
Be fully aware of The Lanesborough Culture, Service experience along with Guests Recognition that The Lanesborough is renowned for. Be able to promote and be confident with all facilities offered in the hotel. Working within a professional team, you will ensure you are fully conversant with the menus/items and presentation accompaniments. You will be responsible for mise en place and any preparation needed to ensure smooth service. During service, you are required to communicate with the Kitchen, carry trays into the restaurant in a subtle and discreet manner, contributing to the guest experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with fine dining experience to progress their career within an highly recognized Food and Beverage establishment
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes
•Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant in a luxury establishment is preferred or a Catering School background
•Basic command of the English language is essential and a second language would be preferred
•Well groomed appearance and excellent personal hygiene
•Please note this role requires an element of manual handling and some heavy lifting
