Commis Waiter- Rotunda Restaurant/ Events
To provide excellent customer service in the Rotunda Restaurant, assisting the other waiting employees and be a good team player. Ensuring a smooth service by assisting, when necessary, in greeting customers, serving meals and drinks, advising on menus and taking payments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overlook the service lift, the food pass and the area behind the restaurant and bar to ensure it’s always manned and clean
Ensuring that food is always handled, transported and stored in accordance with food safety and health and safety standards
Polish glassware, chinaware and cutlery when necessary
Ensure that there is enough folded linen and napkins before and during service
Collect items from the storage room, loading bay or kitchen area when needed
Ensure that bread and water is constantly re filled and assist in Topping up guests
Assist in seating guests and ensure they are greeted and dealt with promptly after being seated at a table and in accordance with the order of service
Be aware of special customer requests, allergies, special occasions and other important information
Serve food and beverage promptly and in accordance with order of service. Assist with Topping up guests wine when necessary
Ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned and reset in accordance with standards
Overlook, clean and clear bar tables and the terrace area
Ensure to prepare the private dining room for the following day with the correct mise en place and top up fridges with any required beverages (communicate with manager regarding special requests on function sheets
This is a great role for someone who is looking for further experience in the hospitality industry. You will have a chance to not only work in our restaurant Rotunda, but also gain some experience working with the event staff!
We are based around a 5-10 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station and have many bus Stops so travelling will not be an issue! The hourly rate is £7.80 paid monthly.
