Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Performance Analyst to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £25000 - £30000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. As our Commercial Performance Analyst you will provide excellent front line customer service by working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our customers’ needs are met and the departmental/team objectives are achieved. This role will support on the structure, compilation, reporting and commentary of budget and financial performance of all work streams within Customer Services.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Performance Analyst:
- Assist in the structure and compilation of the annual budgets for all aspects of Customer Services.
- Monitor and report actual performance against budget by contractor, including variance analysis and commentary for use across the group.
- Assist with the monthly accruals process for Customer Services, ensuring all costs are captured in the correct period.
- Assist in forecasting annual spend on a monthly basis using financial modelling to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Structure and compile monthly management accounts and financial reports, measure actual performance against budgets by contractor, and report monthly on variances for all Customer Services work streams.
- Collaborate with Service Managers on a monthly basis to review the financial performance for the month and year to date and gain operational insight for providing commentary on variances.
Skills/experience required by the Commercial Performance Analyst:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A high level of numeracy skills sufficient to understand financial appraisals and business plans.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organization.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
- Good interpersonal and clear communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to promote the work of the Business effectively.
- Able to produce and present complex reports, and visual and written material.
- Able to use relevant computer systems and software, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Project.
- AAT or equivalent
