Christmas Warehouse Helper
(Temporary – start End of October until 22 nd December)
We’re a Scandinavian Retail and Wholesalers with a warehouse in North West London (Park Royal).
Our busiest time of the year is getting close: Christmas. We are looking for that special someone who can give a helping hand to our Warehouse Supervisor in operating the Warehouse during this period.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Ingoing and outgoing – help unload incoming deliveries / build pallets and load outgoing deliveries
- Sort out pallets - put products away (using FIFO)
- Operating our two forklifts – reach (inside) and outside for loading / unloading
- Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure as much free floorspace as possible to increase efficiency for the whole team
- Daily stock rotation of chilled and ambient goods
- Assist packing Wholesale orders
- Assist with the stocking up
What you look like:
- experience of working in a Warehouse environment
- Fork lift license – this is a must as you will be operating the fork lifts a lot every day, you
must be confident in operating these
- Physically fit and strong – there will be heavy lifting and carrying involved
- Pro-active, you think on your feet – we are super busy, you will just go for it and deliver the doughnuts.
- Logic and problem-solving skills are top. No standing around.
- Flexible attitude and hard working – the shifts vary from 9 to 12 hours daily, so you must be
able to chip in the extra hours as and when needed
- Good English, with legal right to live and work in the UK
The job is Monday to Friday with some Saturday work, too (Saturdays are short days). We are operating from 7am until 9pm so the shifts will be within those hours, but might be long and could run over (we try not to). Full training will be provided.
Hourly pay from £8 or depending on experience.
