Days and Hours: 1st week: 19th and 20th Dec 12.00pm to 6.00pm, 21st Dec 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, 22nd Dec 8.00 am to 1.00pm
2nd week: 25th Dec to 29th Dec 8.00 am to 1.00 pm AND 1st January 8.00 am to 1.00pm
Snap are looking for a Christmas temporary nanny to look after Tom who is almost 10 and his 3 year old brother, William. Tom has cerebral palsy and has made amazing progress during the last couple of years. William is an extremely active and communicative little boy.
Tom is gastrostomy fed, and while his verbal communication has improved considerably, he still relies a lot on Makaton. He is mobile, but can require some support when on the stairs, and especially when outside of the home where he can be unstable at times. Whilst Tom’s eyesight appears to be alright, he can be distracted and not look where he is going, so needs to be reminded to avoid bumping into things.
The role will at times involve working with both Tom and William, but this would only be within the home environment. Both brothers share a close bond and enjoy spending time together.
The role will suit someone who is quite organised, as Tom’s schedule is fairly strict. It would also be ideal if the nanny could be available for at least a half days shadow shift before the start date, preferably just beforehand. This is a lovely family and very well known to Snap!
