Chinese Chefs – All Levels for lively 24/7 Casino
Job Purpose:
To prepare and produce food to the highest standard in a prompt and timely manner while following the specifications given by Senior Kitchen staff.
Main Duties:
- Preparation and execution of food production of Chinese section ensuring the highest standards are achieved.
- Assist with compilation of A La Carte Chinese section and menus for Chinese functions.
- Request food and stock to enable that the Chinese section mis en place is ready for service at all times.
- Ensure that any mis en place is properly stored away, dated and labelled and that stock rotation is strictly followed.
- Ensure that Heath, Safety and Hygiene regulations are followed to the letter. Ensure that Chinese preparation is kept tidy and clean at all times.
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of food is prepared to the highest standard set by the company.
- To prepare, whenever possible, any other item of food that is not on the menu.
Essential Skills:
• Extensive experience and detailed knowledge of Chinese Cuisine.
• Pro-active attitude with the ability to work unsupervised.
• experience working in a commercial kitchen.
• High level of flexibility with the role and working hours.
• Qualification in Food Safety.
• Good communication skills with peers and superiors and other departments.
• Able to communicate in clear and concise English.
• Organised and methodical.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
