Job spec summary
We are a busy childminding setting, we require a part time/ full time assistant for an immediate start.
The applicant should ideally have childcare qualifications, experience and a genuine love for children.
The applicant should have good communication skills.
The applicant will be required to work between 35-40 hours per week, therefore flexibility is important.
The applicant must be able to work during half terms.
Hourly rate of pay £8.30
The applicant will need to have a current DBS and will need to attend a paediatric first aid training.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist with looking after children 0-8 years old.
Making sure children are kept safe at all times.
Assist with school runs
Assist in all aspects of maintaining a tidy, clean and healthy environment.
Help with food preparation.
To contribute to the high standard of care.
To implement the daily routine.
Ensure children are collected by someone known to the setting.
To provide comfort and warmth to all children.
To teach general life skills, such as hygiene and manners.
Assist with nappy changing and potty/toilet training.
To attend out of working hours activities e.g training courses.
