We are a busy family in Muswell Hill looking for somebody to do cleaning, tidying and ironing, and generally be around the house for my two (highly independent) daughters before we get home from work.
Our children are aged 10 and 13 and have stressed that they don't need a nanny! They bring themselves home from school and are very capable of looking after themselves, but we need somebody to be the adult responsible for them while we're not at home and to make them a meal in the evening. They won't need entertaining, or supervising while they do their homework, or taking to after-school activities. We just need somebody available in the house, for them and the occasional playdate friend, and to be there in case of emergency.
We're looking for somebody friendly and laid back for two consecutive days per week (probably Wednesday and Thursday) between 3.30pm and 8pm. You will be our main cleaner, so would need to clean the whole house each week, including kitchen, bathrooms, floors, tidying, dusting, loading/unloading the dishwasher and doing laundry/ironing. Our current cleaner does the whole house in four hours, so it should be fairly relaxed to do it in that time.
No childcare qualifications/experience necessary, but must have excellent spoken English and I would need to see good character references. We are in the process of adopting two kittens (which my daughter will feed and care for) so the role isn't suitable for somebody who is allergic to pets.
