After my manager realised my interest was in coffee, he moved me to daytimes and after 2 months I was able to handle the floor, bar and daytime service confidently. Soon after I was promoted to Supervisor where I was shown cash handling procedures and daytime management and then 3 months after that I was promoted again to Assistant Manager. At every step of my development I felt challenged but found that the biggest advantage to working in an independent bar meant I had a good relationship with all of my colleagues including the directors. The expected standard was always clear and well communicated. After two years of being at Seven I was promoted to General Manager. I realised this is a company that invests time in people's progression and a company that wants to grow. We are always looking for new ideas and it is a very exciting bar to be a part of!" - Jess Faria, General Manager, Seven at Brixton and nbsp;
