Sous Chef - Salary £24,000 PA, approximately 50 hours PW including weekends, 28 days holiday, staff meals on shift.
Alongside our award winning bakery, we have built a strong all day dining trade at our cafe in East Dulwich, and we are looking for a Sous Chef to help run the kitchen.
Working with our Exec Chef, Kieran Barry (Canton Arms / Bristrotheque / Shrimpy’s / Comptoir Gascon), your overall responsibility will be to build on Brick House's ethos of making simple but delicious dishes using high quality, seasonal ingredients, drawing on inspiration from around the World.
Our menu changes weekly, often utilising sourdough and other products such as carcuterie, jams, pickles, chutneys and pastry made in the same kitchen. You will be expected to draw on your experience and work with our suppliers to contribute and shape the menu, which we see as both a draw and challenge of the job.
Other responsibilities will be to help manage a team of CDPs, including shift and cleaning rotas, uphold food hygiene standards, ordering and monthly stock take.

we are looking for an experienced CDP to work in the kitchen of our busy bakery and cafe in East Dulwich.

Our menus change weekly, often utilising sourdough and other products such as carcuterie, jams, pickles, chutneys and pastry made in house.
The right candidate will have experience with seasonal foods, a combination of cafe and restaurant experience, be able to work consistently under pressure, and have the desire to learn and develop as a chef whilst delivering quality, tasty food. You will receive training and guidance, and the opportunity to have input into menus.
