Summary
- Chef needed to work in a small but high-volume kitchen in the heart of the City
- Simple but exceptional takeaway food
- Potential to grow with the business
- Monday to Friday daytimes only (finished by 7pm)
- £20-23k p/a depending on experience
- 28 days paid holiday (incl. Bank holidays)
- 50-55 hours across 5 shifts
- Paid breaks and free meals
- Starting as soon as possible
About Yolk.
- Yolk serves takeaway breakfast and lunch for the discerning Londoner - perfectly-poached egg pots and gourmet hot sandwiches
- After 3 years honing our menu through a range of successful pop-ups, we have opened our first fixed site
- The unit is small but perfectly formed, in a high-footfall area near Liverpool Street station
- If this site is successful, we plan to open a number of other locations over the next 2-3 years
What we’re looking for.
- We are seeking a positive, motivated, organised individual to support our kitchen manager and sous chef
- Excellent spoken English and a collaborative attitude are both essential
- Responsibilities will include carrying out mise en place, helping to run service and other kitchen activities as directed by the kitchen manager
- A love of quality food and an ability to maintain exceptionally high standards are essential
- Most importantly, the candidate needs to be calm under pressure, hard working and able to contribute to a positive team environment
- There's scope for an ambitious candidate to progress quickly as the business grows
