Chef Required – Shoreditch, East London
We are recruiting for a new chef to be part of our small and dedicated team, working within an advertising agency in Shoreditch.
Main duties include:
Production of lunch and breakfast daily
Various levels of food preparation
Preparing a selection of cakes, granola, cereals and other cereals.
Assisting head chef with record keeping and HACCP practices.
Overseeing the kitchen in absence of head chef.
Ensuring kitchen and its equipment are clean / organised.
Daily cleaning of kitchen as well as scheduled deep cleaning.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2-3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen.
A hard working attitude and take pride in their work.
The ability to communicate well with a wide range of people.
Hands on experience preparing sweet and baked goods.
Knowledge of HACCP safe food working guidelines.
Knowledge of efficient working practices eg: stock rotation, cross contamination protection etc.
The position is full time (Monday to Friday) from 8:00am to 4pm daily.
The salary offered is negotiable depending on experience and attitude.
The ability to communicate well with people and be approachable is very important to us, as we work in a very personable and sociable environment. And although we are very busy on a daily basis, the role will offer many benefits to a hard-working individual looking to join a close-knit team.
