This very busy and well established traditional Portuguese restaurant and bar have an immediate vacancy for an enthusiastic and reliable chef to strengthen the team. Open 7 days a week from 8.00am till midnight the restaurant serves breakfasts, morning coffees and pastries, lunch and dinner. Menus are traditional regional Portuguese cuisine with some ingredients imported direct from Portugal. There is a large menu that includes Petiscos (tapas dishes) Bacalhau, Pataniscos and Picadinho with as much as possible made in house. With dining on 2 floors + a large terrace this kitchen gets very busy at peak times.
The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience in a similar restaurant cooking traditional Portuguese dishes with training and work experience in the UK or Portugal.
Spoken Portuguese would be an advantage.
5-Day week straight shifts
Salary: £10 an hour
Interviews will include a cooking trial.
