56 Is an independent cafe based in St James Street area of Walthamstow. We are looking for a new chef or trainee chef to join our team to serve our busy brunch focused menu. We make everything from scratch with an emphasis on brunch classics with fresh ingredients and healthy innovations.
Position would suit someone who is passionate about food and ingredients and who thinks creatively about food. An exciting opportunity for the right individual to have input into the menu and weekly specials.
Must work well in young team and have high standards of food service following all health and safety procedures. Ability to work a busy service efficiently and communicate effectively with front of house team.
Hours are 8.30 - 4 Friday, 9.30 - 4 Saturday and Sunday at present equalling about 22 hrs a week with a view to increasing in the future if desired. Pay is competitive.
