Tate Catering's aim is to be the market-leading caterer within the arts and to consistently provide outstanding food, drink and service at the four Tate sites and the other sites within our business.

We are looking for a talented Staff Canteen Chef Manager to assist with the management of our busy staff facilities at Tate Modern. The Chef Manager will be responsible for coordinating the production and delivery of all food and beverages whilst consistently delivering outstanding customer experience. This contract is offered on a permanent basis.

The Staff Canteen Chef Manager will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and will have:

• Previous experience working as an outstanding Chef de Partie in a busy restaurant or café environment.
• Some experience leading a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively converse with a diverse client and supplier base.
• An understanding of the 'bigger picture': business needs, staff requirements and customer expectations.
• Flexibility and professionalism; willing to find solutions and adapt to operational requirements.
• Availability to work weekends and some evenings and early shifts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
• experience of conducting stock takes
