Key responsibilities
To work within the kitchen team to provide consistently high quality of service to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
To communicate regularly with the Assistant Head of Kitchen and Head of Kitchen to discuss all aspects of the role.
The following represents the key areas in which you should support the Head of Kitchen, including taking responsibility for them in his/her absence.
It is not intended to be an exhaustive list and the Company may require you to carry out certain other activities not listed here.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
To ensure all dishes are produced to set standards at all times.
To ensure all dishes are prepared and delivered on a timely basis to the customers from the time of their order being taken.
To ensure flexibility in dealing with special requests from customers wherever possible.
Ensure kitchens are kept clean at all times and that the weekly cleaning calendar is adhered to and carried out. This may be delegated, but if that option is not available, you must contribute as much as anyone else.
Ensure kitchen equipment and service equipment is kept clean at all times. This may be delegated, but if that option is not available, you must contribute as much as anyone else.
Aid the chefs with food preparation when required and that all preparation of food stuffs is done according to the companies’ high standards.
To ensure that cleaning procedures and standards are adhered to throughout the restaurant.
To check and store deliveries from both internal and external suppliers and make sure they are stored in the correct areas.
Manage cleaning product stocks and inform manager when stock is required.
Communicate efficiently and effectively with work colleagues.
Attend meetings and contribute to Company strategy and policy-making as required.
Attend training and participate in appraisals when requested by the Company.
Welcome and help new members of staff that join the Company.
Have a precise and enthusiastic knowledge of the Company ethic and products.

You will always maintain a clean and welcoming working environment and carry out relevant cleaning activities according to health and safety law and Company policies and practices. This may include helping other areas of the business if the situation arises. With an enthusiastic approach to all of your responsibilities at work and to the others around you, you will be acknowledged accordingly by the Company.
