Inigo Chef Job Ad:
Inigo is a new Japanese-inspired grab and go restaurant, basing our menu around sushi and Asian inspired salads, sides, drinks and snacks. We have Central London sites due to open imminently.
We are looking to establish a team of chefs to produce all our sushi, salads and sides from our central kitchen in Hackney Wick. Working with the finest ingredients, be it fish, meat vegetables or sundries, the chefs will cook, produce and package all our menu items in house.
We are looking for chefs with at least two years experience in professional kitchens, and an interest in Japanese and Asian food would be a real bonus.
You should be pro-active, organised and keen to learn and follow instruction. You care about your colleagues and want to deliver high levels of cooking, stripped of unnecessary fuss but with a definite sense of correctness.
As a central production kitchen, the shifts will be from 6am through to 2pm or 9am through to 5pm. We will be paying the UK living wage of £8.45 an hour for all our chefs, with scope for earning more for supervisor and management roles.

Inigo, Chef Job Spec:
We are looking for chefs who are/have:
- a love for food and an open mind to learn and experience
- professional, organised, punctual and hardworking
- proactive and innovative
- precise, and be driven to maintain high standards
- a good team player with at least 2 years experience working in kitchens
- ideally some experience working with Asian recipes and flavours
- experience of ordering and stock control
- experience of implementing good health and safety systems and processes.
