Chef Japanese Restaurant in Dalston

We are a busy yakitori restaurant in Dalston. We opened 1.5 years ago to great reviews (5 stars in Time Out and 'Dessert of the Year' from Fay Maschler). Our open kitchen is centred around our custom made artisanal grill from Kama-Asa Shoten, Tokyo, and using charcoal from the London Log Company. We put a heavy focus on sourcing the best ingredients and creating accessible, tasty, interesting dishes.
We are a young, ambitious company – looking to expand within the next 6 months, so there is plenty of room for career growth within the company.
Whilst our focus is yaktiori, we also do daily specials and have a range of fun and inventive small plates. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate, inquisitive chef, ideally with experience cooking with charcoal. An interest in Japanese flavours, ingredients, strong communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
The chef de partie will work closely with our head and sous chefs to deliver consistent, high quality and delicious food every service as well as contribute new dish ideas. The role is available immediately and full time.
