Zigfrid von Underbelly is a legend of a place in Hoxton Square. It's an independent DJ and live music bar and restaurant with a notoriously quirky atmosphere. When we say independent, we mean INDEPENDENT - a small team where you will get heard and have access to everyone in the team: from those who are just starting out with us in the bar business to the very owner himself for some priceless guidance and mentoring.
We're looking for reliable and hard-working CHEFS to join the Ziggy team serving bistro food alongside pizzas and desserts.
We need someone who can keep up with the pace, demonstrate enthusiasm and passion whilst working hard under pressure.
NB! Our kitchen is small and although there is a hierarchy working under our head chef, you will be expected to carry out various tasks throughout the day. Our team is all hands-on and no task is too small for anyone. This gives you a thorough understanding of how a kitchen works as a whole.
Whatever your kitchen background, all we ask from you at this stage is the following:
You have some experience championing excellent service through quality food;
We require at least 1 year experience in the kitchen and ask for a reference to prove it;
You demonstrate passion to deliver fantastic food every time;
You will show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills;
Have Food Hygiene Level 2/HACCP Level 2 training;
This is a big plus, but if you do not have it, we will provide training;
Fluent English;
Ability to represent the brand and the core values of our business at a high level;
You are eligible to work in the UK.
