Part time chef for cafe’ - £10.20 p/h - olympic park Stratford.
The View Tube Cafe’ is an urban oasis/garden character, community angle and great quality homemade cafe’ food opened from 9 am to 17 pm. The cafe’ is located just off Pudding Mill Lane DLR Station and 10 Mins walk from Stratford Station.
Our Cafe’ seats around 60 people. We are quieter during the week and serve up to 120 covers per day on weekend days. Our unique propositions are: high quality cafe’ food and drinks served at affordable prices in a relaxed, dynamic surroundings.
We are currently seeking for a Chef De Partie or Breakfast Chef to join our enthusiastic friendly family. The position is very flexible and can suit someone who can work mainly daytimes, two/three times a week and occasional evenings or part time but what’s important is that you are reliable and can prepare and cook to the standards required.
The right person for the role will :
- Have previous experience working within a professional kitchen.
- Have sufficient food hygiene certification.
- Enjoy working with a small professional team.
- Be working in agreement with the Kitchen Manager.
- Have bakery skills preferable but not essential.
- Maintain and focus on controlling wastage and costs.
- Bring a positive can do attitude to work daily.
- Be happiest when crafting delicious brunch or lunch dishes.
- Display a team working ethic, happy to get Stuck in with whatever is required, including washing up!
