Chef for Brunch and Lunch in London

ABOUT US:
Morty and Bob’s is a cafe in the heart of Hackney. Open seven days a week for Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch, we have built a great reputation with local residents and workers for fresh, seasonal dishes. Having started as a specialist street food stall in 2013, we now run our all day eatery open 7 days a week. We are opening a second site in West London later this year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a unique chef job with NO EVENINGS. We are looking for a chef with some experience in breakfast/brunch who also has a passion for delivering good looking, delicious food.
You will be responsible for…
-Learning, prepping and cooking the menu and weekend brunch menu with a small team.
-Stock control
-Fresh cakes everyday
-Creative menu input
-Food H and S monitoring and upkeep
We make most things from scratch and have an open kitchen and a small team of great staff. This role includes working and managing your own section whilst working with other chefs. We are looking for a real team player!
HOURS
35-40 hrs/week. Normal Shift: 8.30am-4pm. No Evenings.
Pay will begin as hourly and become a salary after one-month probation.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Having a good knowledge of current food scene in London is a must
Quick learner and able to work alone sometimes
Responsible and organised
Keeping quality very high and consistent
Kitchen management skills
Friendly, sociable and a good communicator
Minimum food safety level 2
Working calmly and cleanly
This role is ideal for someone looking for a good work life balance with no evenings! This is very unique for a chef role.
