POLPO is seeking experienced BACK-OF-HOUSE STAFF to join POLPO Soho, our flagship restaurant on Beak Street.

POLPO is a bàCaro. This is a Venetian word to describe a humble restaurant serving simple but authentic food, young local wines and classic Italian cocktails within a modest yet stylish setting featuring exposed brickwork, tin ceilings and copper bars.
POLPO Ltd operates some of the most talked about restaurants, under the leadership of BBC2’s ‘Restaurant Man’ Russell Norman. POLPO Soho opened in October 2009 to immediate acclaim and we have since opened eleven restaurants across London, Brighton, Bristol and Exeter.
We are currently recruiting for:
• Chef de Partie

Personal requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience of working in busy restaurants in a similar role and ideally with a knowledge of Italian cuisine. You will be passionate about the industry with enthusiasm for your role. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of your sections, reporting to the Head Chef, and delivering consistent and excellent food throughout lunch and dinner service.
In addition to these skills you will have:
• Some knowledge of Italian cuisine
• Knowledge of pizza making
• Good organisational skills
• Strong work ethic
• Strong communication skills and teamwork skills
• An interest in development and training
• Excellent command of English plus valid passport and visa
• Good references.
