The Lido Café is a busy Art Deco poolside café bar and restaurant, situated in beautiful Brockwell Park. It serves Modern British food from breakfast until late, plus craft Beers and wine. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef de Partie to join our lively team.
Vacancy:
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen with responsibility for various sections and experience of several types of cuisine. A passion for all things food is appreciated. experience of working to deliver private events and a proven track record of delivering results is desirable. A commitment to sustainable sourcing and working with seasonal British produce is desirable.
Would suit a committed, emerging and ambitious chef, keen to learn and be part of an exciting food venue. This is an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to learn and progress within the business and receive training from a committed head chef to develop professionally and gain experience.
Hours will be worked over any of the seven days with regular work at evenings and weekends.

Job Description: Chef de Partie
Job Purpose:
To cook and present food to excellent standards.
Main Duties:
 Preparing and cooking food to the consistently high standards of preparation and
presentation set by the Head Chef and General Manager.
 Running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring procedures and
standards are maintained.
 Liaising with bar staff and the manager to communicate delivery times, items out of
stock and other information necessary to present a professional service to customers.
 If requested, ordering stock from nominated suppliers.
 Storing stock safely (e.g. At the correct temperature) and ensuing it is rotated so that
older stock is used first.
 Following all Food Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaning and other Health and Safety responsibilities at all times. Level 1 Food Hygiene required, Level 2 is desirable.
 Undertaking such administration as requested for the effective running of the kitchen.
 Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably requested of you by the Company for the effective functioning of the kitchen or restaurant and to maximize its business.
