The red lion and sun, gastro pub, highgate village, london (zone 2/3)
We are are looking for a hard-working chef de partie to join our small but efficent team.
We make all the dishes onsite daily and use quality fresh ingredients. We placed number 25 out of 50 at the Top50 gastro pub awards this year. Our food isn't trying to be to clever, but we focus on using the best ingredients and treating them well.
The pub seats 65 covers inside and outside another 90, in summer we are crazy busy. Sundays are the busiest day of the week were we focus on roast dinners.
Our headchef and sous chef have both been here around 8 years. We have a low staff turnover as the money is really good and as an independent business you will be dealing with the owner daily, as opposed to a big company.
Chef's work 7 shifts a week with two days off. Salary depends on experience, chef's get a cut of the service charge which bulks up your wages quite a bit.
