We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join us in the kitchen at our local, The Rye. A laidback neighbourhood pub on the high street, close to cafes and shops. Buzzy in the evening, papers and roasts at the weekend, and a beer garden for long summer days.

If you’ve got a year or two’s experience in a busy kitchen, great. But if you haven’t, as long as you’re a fast learner who’s full of ideas and keen to be part of a hard-working team, then that’s fine by us too. We can show you the rest.

Who are we, anyway?

We’re Metropolitan Pub Company (or Metro Pub Co for short). We’re part of Greene King, but they leave us to it. We’re big believers in local pubs being just that, with their own character and charm. We’ve got 64 pubs in and around London: neighbourhood locals, city pubs and foodie ones. They’re all different – run by their managers, not a boardroom – and we like it that way.
