We’re looking for people to join us at our local, The Grove. A laidback neighbourhood pub on the high street, close to cafes and shops. Buzzy in the evening, papers and roasts at the weekend, and a beer garden for long summer days.
Our pubs are all about the people in them – the staff and the locals – so we’re more interested in who you are and what makes you tick. Besides, we can’t put the things we’re looking for into a simple job description. We can’t sum up someone’s character, their laugh, their get-the-job-done-brilliantly determination. That’s who we’re after.
If you’ve worked in a pub before, of course, that’s great. If you haven’t, you just need a go-getting attitude. We can show you the rest.

Who are we, anyway?
We’re Metropolitan Pub Company (or Metro Pub Co for short). We’re part of Greene King, but they leave us to it. We’re big believers in local pubs being just that, with their own character and charm. We’ve got 69 pubs in and around London: neighbourhood locals, city pubs and foodie ones. They’re all different – run by their managers, not a boardroom – and we like it that way.
