Absolute abode is looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie/Jnr Sous Chef to lead our kitchen on Saturday and Sunday, plus the opportunity to work on Thursday/Friday evenings and special events at our café/restaurant within our lifestyle concept store and high-end design retail space in Raynes Park, Wimbledon. We are looking for a motivated, confiDent, friendly, calm and well-presented individual, who has the desire to work at the highest possible standards. We have a fun, friendly team who are passionate and excited by design and food, and we are looking for a Chef who is equally as passionate about great food.
Overview:
To prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently on a Saturday and Sunday with support of existing kitchen brigade in head chef’s absence whilst also being flexible in other tasks within the kitchen. To assist Head Chef working Thursday/Friday evenings on occasions, as well as special events. To assist the Head Chef in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen when on shift, and to supervise, train and motivate others in Head Chef's absence, with the key aim of delivering excellent food to our customers every time as efficiently as possible.

Requirements:
• have proof of right to work in the UK
• have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable travelling distance of absolute abode
• have a UK bank account in your own name
• be able to converse in English to a high standard
Duties:
•Responsible for executing allocated dishes on time to the required standard.
•Work as part of the kitchen team under the direction of the head chef to support the demands of the kitchen
•Work in a clean and tidy manner.
• Train and develop junior colleagues in their day to day work where applicable and offer support when needed
•Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times.
•Actively seek to improve skills and achieve personal development.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements under the Absolute Abode H and S and Food Hygiene policy and procedures
• Lead by example to work as a team to help to wash, put away and restock dishes for Front of House, where required
• Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are followed as appropriate
• Lead the kitchen in ensuring documentation, stock rotation and stock control procedures and orders are placed in Head Chef’s absence
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.
•Comply at all times with the Staff Code of Conduct.
•Comply with the provisions of your contract and any of our Company Policies
and set an example for all members of staff.
• Be flexible and proactive in solving problems around the kitchen and offer training and support where needed
•Seek to ensure at all times that all visitors or guests have the best food
experience possible.
