Celta Tefl Needed in London

Posted: Today
Place: West End, London

Speak Up London is an English Language School based on Oxford Street. We deliver a range of English language courses to European and overseas students.
We offer a teaching experience programme for CELTA / TESOL / ESOL teachers - newly qualified, soon to qualify, as well as qualified teachers wishing to return to teaching looking to gain valuable experience in this competitive industry. This is a Voluntary, unpaid position since we offer these classes to our students completely FREE OF CHARGE; however, we believe it to be an invaluable opportunity for teachers for a variety of reasons.
Previous participants have gone on to secure teaching roles within our school or other reputable schools, using the experience and reference as a valuable tool. We also offer our Voluntary teachers the chance to attend our regular CPD (Continual Professional Development) sessions which provide excellent training on all aspects of teaching English as a foreign language.
Our Voluntary teachers are in charge of teaching lessons from Monday to Friday from 12.30 - 1.30pm and 3.45pm - 4.45pm, which makes a total of 10 classes per week. We do not expect any one teacher to take all these lessons, the expectation is 2 a week - on which day/s of the week depends on each teacher's other commitments.
If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please reply to this ad by sending us your CV and writing a short cover letter in support of your application. We look forward to hearing from you.
Speak Up London is committed to the safeguarding of our learners and all staff will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. References will be followed up and we will ask whether there is any reason why you should not work with under 18s. You must provide proof of identity and qualifications before starting to teach and all gaps in your CV must be explained. Finally, appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
