Retail Area Manager

About the role:
• Reporting to and working closely with the Commercial Manager
• Overseeing retail teams in our 10 shops
• Train, mentor and lead staff
• Work with the Shop Managers to maximize sales and performance
• Maintain excellent retail and food hygiene standards
• Produce fully-staffed rotas whilst accommodating holiday and day-off requests
• Focus on developing retail team to providing high-quality customer service and an excellent customer experience
• Conduct 2 week initial training, 3 month probation reviews and annual reviews
• Track and manage holidays to ensure cover at all times
• Track and manage sickness and other absence and ensure absence procedure is followed
• Anticipate and resolve problems
• Participate in monthly management meetings
Other information:
• Position is 5 days per week – Monday to Saturday (day off during the week). No Sunday working (our shops are closed)
• Must be able to drive (car provided if necessary or mileage paid for)
• Must be completely hands-on and happy to jump onto the shop floor as required
• Command of English, both speaking and written, is essential
• Immaculate personal presentation is essential, as this position sets the tone for all members of retail team.
