As we continue to build on our achievements with providing residential and nursing care we have a fantastic opportunity within our catering department for an experienced Catering Assistant.
Mission Care Homes have a rich history of providing residential and nursing care for people with mental, physical and social care needs. We are a Christian charity with a history of caring for vulnerable people in South East London since 1904. Today, we provide nursing care and residential care in our five care homes in Bromley, and Southwark.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall care we provide our residents by preparing them a nutritious and tasty meal that they will enjoy. This role will require you to assist the Cook in preparing food to a high standard. This includes following a high standard of hygiene when preparing food, making sure all kitchen equipment and surfaces are cleaned to industry standards and all food is stored correctly.
You will be a caring person that will enjoy the opportunity to interact with our residents when assisting at meal times.

Responsibilities
• Ensure that a high standard of hygiene when preparing food for the residents
• Assist with the preparation of meals and snacks for residents within the guidelines laid down by the Chef Manager.
• Assist with food service by taking food and beverage trolley to the dining area within the home.
• Assistance with meal service as directed by the Cook
• Assist with deliveries
• Washing up
• Participate in cleaning as per cleaning Rota
