Casual Kitchen Porter Required

Harbour and Jones is an independent and enterprising food service company. Never desiring to be the biggest in our field, we simply aim to be the best.
You will be working as a part of a large team, reporting to the Head Chef. The site consists of multiple hospitality and events rooms open throughout the whole week, and 40 seats restaurant open Monday to Friday lunchtimes. Hospitality and events rooms will include anything from buffets for 100 + people, dinners or canapés for 50 to 150 people, fine dining events for up to 130 people, conference lunches from 5 to 150 people and weekend wedding business. This position is casual, 5 out of 7 days including evenings and weekends. Your hours will vary depending on business needs.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
To support and assist the kitchen team with all tasks as required
To clean the kitchen as necessary to ensure hygienic preparation and service areas
To assist with food preparation if required
To understand and comply with H and S and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards. This includes COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with both Harbour and Jones policy and the law.
To use and store all chemicals appropriately in line with Harbour and Jones and H and S standards
The ideal candidate:
Wears a smile on their face and loves food
Has previous experience in a similar role in the catering industry
