Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Cash Posting Officer to join our team in London.You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £28,700 - £29,561 per annum.
The Cash Posting Officer role:
His role ensures customer receipts are accurately recorded on the rent ledgers. You will be responsible for ensuring that multiple payment solution receipts are updated on our systems, e.g. Housing benefit, allpay, universal credit, bank transfers, direct debits etc. You will deal with queries from internal and external customers to resolve missing payments and clear items from the suspense accounts. You will perform reconciliations to ensure all payments are reflected on resident accounts and that automated processes have successfully run.
As our Cash Posting Officer you will process cash receipts accurately and on a timely basis. You will also support the Collections Department to ensure all cash is posted in a timely and accurate manner and perform any other duties as and when required.
Skills/experience required by the Cash Posting Officer:
- experience of using a housing management system and a financial system (SUNSYSTEMS, NORTHGATE AND QL is desirable)
- Proven attention to detail, high accuracy, and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proven ability to demonstrate good initiative and judgement.
- Good level of technical competency in coding, posting and reconciliation.
- Demonstrate ability to process matters logically and quickly.
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines and targets.
- Sense of ownership and initiative in the workplace.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation. Identifying process improvements.
- Minimum Intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade 4 or above or equivalent.
