CARETAKER COUPLE OR SINGLE MAN WANTED
Mature caretaker couple or single man, wanted for help to take care of a Chateau, Chateau grounds, machinery and possibly some horse handling in the Loire Valley, 2 hours south of Paris, 10 minutes from La Charite Sur Loire and 30 minutes from Bourges.
The Australian owners only live on site 6 months accumulatively, usually between March and November, per annum.
The property is run as a boutique equestrian facility with other personnel looking after and training the horses.
Couple must have;
• Proficient English
• Conversational French (or at least one of the couple must be conversant in French)
• Must be able to maintain, drive and service tractor, car, quad, Mowers etc
• Must have excellent gardening knowledge
• Must have horse handling experience
• Must be able to liaison with local tradesmen
• Must be good handyman
The property is 12 hectares with bitumen entrance driveway. There are equestrian facilities including a Horse Walker, Stables, Horse Paddocks and covered Arena, together with neat parkland around the Chateau.
The position is available in July 2022 and is a permanent position.
