We are looking for a presentable, personable Caretaker who has great communication skills and is good with people as well as being practical to re-set plant, address minor repairs within the building and maintaining standards across the development.
The role includes:
- carrying out site inspections on a tablet computer,
- signing residents and contractors in and out,
- helping residents by following policies, upholding the estate rules and regulations
- overseeing cleaning the communal areas, reception, bin stores, play areas and car park
- overseeing gardeners and ensuring standards are maintained.
The successful applicant will need to convince us that they can 'add value' to the block by the way they greet residents, help them and share knowledgeable, and, also will be able to tell us how by setting high personal standards for themselves and the development residents will believe they live in the 'best block in town'.
Equally the successful applicant will be comfortable re-setting boilers and plant and tracking what Maintenance Engineers come to do, further work required and sharing this with residents to manage their expectations.
The role is key to making Precision a place where people want to live.
Required skills
- a good command of English is required
- computer skills (good enough to log and photo repairs, carry out inspections using a tablet computer, and look up contractors, issue works orders and send/receive emails.)
- cleaning
- gardening
Desired skills
- SIA licence
- proactive attitude, adaptability and flexibility
Hours : 45 hour week
Salary: £20,000 - 22,000 per annum dependant on experience
Holiday: 4 weeks
