Peabody has two exciting opportunities to work as a Caretaker in either Canary Wharf or Whitechapel, London.  You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and you will be offered a competitive salary of £21,778 per annum.

The purpose of the role:
We are looking for reliable and self motivated people to join our caretaking team. As a Caretaker you will provide a high quality and effective caretaking and minor repairs service to tenants and residents living in our estate at Mill Harbour, Canary Wharf, and another to provide the same service at our estate at Whitechapel, London, E1.
Essential skills and experience required to become our Caretaker:
- A good standard of basic literacy skills and communications skills.
- Capable of using own initiative and working unsupervised.
- General practical skills
- Health and Safety awareness
- Aware of importance of good standards of appearance / presentation.
- experience of cleaning/caretaking
- experience of providing a service to and liaising with the public.
- Possesses knowledge of COSHH
- Confident in spoken and written English.
- Aware of importance of lone working precautions.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
- Customer Service experience
- Self motivated and may be required to work on their own.
Desirable skills and experience required to become our Caretaker:
- Membership of BICS
- IT skills
- Understanding of Health and safety
