A part-time carer required to work as part of an established support team for a lovely young man with special needs (autism, other complex health needs and learning difficulties) at home near Alexandra Palace, North London.
Contract type: Part-time. Must be available for regular weekend work
Valid DBS and Drivers licence is essential. Preferably Carer to live within close distance of N10/N22.
Pay: £11 per hour. Holiday pay and pension scheme
Description and Role: positive, warm-hearted Carer required with some experience in working with people with special needs/ Learning difficulties or autism. Would work as part of a team within the family home. Job is both challenging and rewarding and allows for a lot of creativity and fun. Supporting the young man to become more independent and helping him to achieve his goals. He requires 2:1 support with personal care and is non verbal and uses a range of communication aids. He likes art, maths, yoga, swimming, cycling and spending time in nature and loves going to restaurants.

• Support with medication and health appointments

• Building social skills used to develop friendships and accessing the community
• Attending staff meetings and training events
