We are looking for 1/2 part time carers for our mother, who lives with us. She is now disabled after suffering a stroke but would like to stay as active and social as possible.

Location:
• Carshalton, Surrey (PLEASE NOTE: Must live locally or drive)

Hours required approximately 8-15 per week:
1-3 Days per week to get mum up and washed 1 hr each time.
2 Days per week to take her out for 2-3 hrs to local shops or for lunch.
Extra odd hours to assist during the week.
Extra hours to put mum to bed (optional)

• Might suit 2 roles with one person working early day and another working later.

Duties to include:
• Personal care (washing and help with toilet)
• General home help with rest of family
• Engaging with our mother on news topics/tv shows.
• Doing the crossword or puzzles
• Helping our mother with some gentle exercise.
• Taking her out in wheelchair to meet friends or browse local shops.
• Making lunch/tea and washing up
• Helping with general duties around house such as tidying and putting clothes away (when needed)
• Helping with paperwork and phone calls

The Ideal candidate will be:
• Interested in popular TV programs and soaps.
• Chatty, able to tell stories and engaging.
• A 'can do' person
• Must be CRB/DBS checked or willing to obtain one.
• Fit enough to assist in helping her around house and push wheelchair.
• Enjoy the company of children
• Able to use a tablet
• experience as previous carer or nurse helpful but not necessary.

Pay
• £10 Per hour
