We are looking for a female carer to help my parents. My father is 95 and quite fit, mind and body. My mother is 85 and has medium level dementia which is slowly getting worse. She also has arthritis so needs help walking.
We would like the carer to visit 5 days a week. 2 mornings for 3-4 hours and then 3 afternoons for 3-4 hours. It is very important that the carer drives and has her own car. The car is important as they no longer have a car and daily trips to somewhere interesting (coffee house, park, exhibition, language classes or supermarket) will be a very important part of the job.
My parents already have a part time carer who will cover the mornings and afternoons that the new carer will not be working.
At this stage they certainly need more help.
We need a carer with good experience and the relevant qualifications passed. A carer with humour, patience and an appetite for life.
Very useful if the carer lives close to Pinner as well.
