Our Client (81) has Chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis and therefore has limited mobility. She is currently awaiting a gall stone operation but, otherwise, is very articulate and full of fun.  She lives in a lovely detached 4 bedroomed town house with annex.  You will have your own bedroom and bathroom in the house.  The shops are a short taxi ride away as is the sea front in Hastings which is just 2 hours by train from Charing Cross, London.
You should be an experienced carer and a good cook accustomed to using only fresh produce – meat, poultry, fish, vegetables and fruit.  If you are a kettle and micro-wave person heating up pre-cooked supermarket meals, this is not the job for you.  You can walk to all the shops you need locally.
This relatively stress free assignment would suit someone in their late 50’s and early to late 60’s with, most importantly, a sense of humour – because our Client is full of fun and laughter despite her crippling rheumatoid arthritis.   If, after an interview with the Client, you were the successful applicant, the assignment will start on or about Monday 1 October 2022.  You will initially earn £612.50 (7 days x £87.50) gross per week which will be subject to review on 31 December 2022.  You will be paid weekly by on line credit transfer after receipt of a Claim form from you. Of course, you will live all-in with no rent, no council tax, heating and electricity costs, no food nor travel to work costs. This has to be worth £1500 a month tax free.  The whole package is worth approximately £12500 gross in the 3 months to 31 December 2022.
Applicants must have their own National Insurance number and be registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs as Self-employed – if not, we can give advice with the HMRC registration procedure.  You will also be expected to have Public Liability insurance cover – again we can give advice on this.  English should, preferably, be your home language but if not, you must speak it fluently because elderly people tend to find foreign accents confusing.
There is no need for you to have a car of your own nor a driving licence although a bicycle would probably amuse you during your time off.  Our Client has a dog, a Catalan sheep dog called Jasper who may want to take you for a walk from time to time although, normally, there is a dog walker who does this for him.  There is also a cleaner who comes in three mornings a week for two hours and a gardener who comes once a week.
