Home Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a Care Worker to join the team based in and around Beckenham. You will join us on a full time permanent basis and receive a competitive salary of £9.11 per hour.
Home Healthcare is a long establish health care provider based in Beckenham. We provide domiciliary care in Beckenham, Bickley, Bromley, Penge and West Wickham. We are a family run, locally based small business committed to making people's lives better. The Care Worker role:
The role will be working on the front line of the business delivering high quality compassionate care within the community. You will be required to positively represent the company when liaising with all stakeholders. You will have a care plan to support you but you should be able to recognise changes in our customer’s needs and communicate these to the appropriate person.
Responsibilities of our Care Worker:
All staff must perform the following duties:
- Record and report All activities undertaken in line with the company’s procedures.
- Comply with all relevant industry regulations.
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Undertake ongoing training and development.
Depending on the individual customer’s needs, the following duties are required:
- All aspects of personal care
- Administer medicines through a range of methods.
- Undertake specific health care tasks
- Perform domestic duties
- Social and physical activities
Skills needed to become our Care Worker:
- Previous experience as a care worker or as an unpaid carer.
- Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
- Own form of transport to travel between customer’s homes.
- Android or Apple device with internet connectivity and able to use relevant apps required by the business.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent recognised qualification (Desirable)
- Able to teach others (Desirable)
- Ability to work flexible hours e.g. Weekends/ Bank Holidays (Desirable)
- Reasonable level of computer literacy (Desirable)
