Exceptional small group, we currently have a busy restaurant in South Kensington, Soho and Fitzrovia with plans to roll out new restaurants across London.
We’re a customer service and a people-focused business with a wonderful Japanese food offer, including an award winning range of matcha, tea and desserts.
Tombo Soho, is leading the way in a brand new style of sushi called Poke. Alongside our specialist matcha tea drinks and desserts.
The Role:
We are looking for a an experienced Cafe or Restaurant Manager to lead and run the operations of Tombo Soho.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring all sections (kitchen, drinks, service) are run smoothly and effectively, especially at peak periods.
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Monitoring and maintaining all healthy and safety standards
- Cash handling, financial reporting, closing / opening store
- Handling complaints and customer queries effectively
- Leading by example, team management, training and development of employees
- Stock control, ordering, Rota management
- Improving sales, up selling and reaching financial targets set by senior management
The Candidate:
- At least 2 years experience as a cafe or restaurant manager in a busy London cafe / restaurant
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Knowledge and passion for Japanese food, healthy eating and matcha tea beneficial
- Passion for customer service
- Organised, proactive and lead by example
- Enthusiastic with great attention to detail and problem solver
