The job…
You will be the Manager of a busy café located within a fantastic workplace building near Paddington station. You and your team will be serving hot and cold food, freshly ground artisan coffee and snacks for a variety of guests throughout the day.
You will oversee and work closely with our chef team to develop the menu’s for the outlet to reflect our standards and the requirements of the client, and so food preparation experience will be a big advantage.
As Café manager you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of managerial activities;
Working and delivering to a set of key objectives for your outlet.
Handling guest queries
Managing cash
Liaising with suppliers and placing orders.
Setting and maintaining the standards for front of house display.
Ensuring both the front of house and back of house meet the highest standards of food hygiene.
Recruiting, managing, training and developing your team.
What are We are looking for in our Café Manager?
A rising star, you will be energetic, resourceful, and have a can do attitude.
You will be well presented and comfortable dealing face to face with corporate clients.
You will have proven management experience, with good communication skills and an ability to engage and inspire those around you.
You will be commercially savvy, able to partner with our chef team to deliver on a target % General Practitioner.
You will know what it takes to run a clean and safe operation, overseeing HACCP for your outlet. You will have working knowledge of food safety legislation and the requirements for managing allergens.
You will be part of a close knit team in a busy service environment and so you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and support wherever needed.
We are particularly proud of our own brand artisan coffee and so excellent barista skills would be of benefit, although we do provide full specialist training.
What we offer.
A starting salary of £23,000 working 40 hours Monday to Friday.
A generous benefits package - including a flexible healthcare plan, pension, cycle to work scheme and a colleague benefit program.
Immediate and continued support for your personal development.
20 Days holiday per year, rising to 21 days after 1 year (plus public holidays).
