Crisis is recruiting a part time Café Assistant for its award winning social enterprise café in East London. Café from Crisis provides a route into work for homeless people and ex-offenders through its practical training programme and works with 60 trainees per year.
The Café has been operating at its site near Brick Lane for 13 years. Having undergone a comprehensive refurbishment three years ago, it is going through an exciting phase aiming at increasing its profile and cement its reputation in the area for offering excellent food and drink at affordable prices.
About the role
As a Café Assistant, you will have a chance to join a talented and passionate team helping to provide excellent customer experience, as well as support the Café’s trainee’s progress and learning. You will be responsible for assisting the smooth running of the Café, including delivering exceptional customer service, coffee and cleanliness, and being a positive member of the team.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience in the hospitality sector with a passion for food and drink and strong barista skills. You will have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, friendly and ready to adapt to changing service needs. Being proactive and team player are also important aspects of the role.
