Café Mish, the famous sandwich bar in Mayfair, which became the go-to take away for many local customers, businesses and tourists, is re-opening.
The new Café Mish brand intends to bring to Mayfair the Near-East café experience: elegant, relaxed and innovative Middle-Eastern cuisine fused with Mediterranean approaches.
Head Chef/ Creative Sous Chef, who is willing to grow into Head Chef Role
• Previous Sous Chef or Head Chef experience;
• Must have Level 3 Food Safety Certificate; ensuring compliance and all
health and safety regulations are met at a high standard;
• Preferably have understanding/experience of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisines as well as new worldwide food trends;
• Excellent and innovative culinary presentation skills;
• Numerate and computer literate with an understanding of financial
drivers;
• Responsible for all food production and ensuring that menu dishes are
prepared to a high standard as well as updating menus to reflect seasonality;
• Responsible for ensuring all team members are fully trained and aware of how food is stored, rotated and disposed of and monitoring their adherence and ensuring that exceptional standards are maintained at all
times
• Provide assistance to the Head office for hiring and Managing the kitchen team;
• Assisting the Head Office with liaising and sourcing suppliers and
be involved with packaging development to maintain food quality, presentation and practicality;
• Assisting with the Head Office to manage stock and ensure
wastage is kept to a minimum;
