BUTLER/ Houseman and COOK /HEAD HOUSEKEEPER COUPLE TEAM in Chelsea
We are looking for an experienced Domestic couple for our private client in Chelsea.
The positions will require a proactive approach and a good level of communication skills.
Enthusiasm, versatility, integrity and an excellent proven track record is essential, as is the ability to properly care for an outstanding private residence and its contents.
This property is a 4-level formal townhouse recently refurbished to an exceptional standard.
The family consists of 2 Principals with adult children who visit on occasion. Additional staff are 2 daily housekeeping assistants and a security/driver.
At least one candidate must have a driving licence and be comfortable driving in London.
• Salaries will be commensurate with experience – starting from £60K
• Accommodation: A separate 2-bedroom flat is provided.
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday) with flexibility when required and some weekends.
Tasks will include:
• Heavy housekeeping such as changing light bulbs and cleaning chandeliers
• Household maintenance
• Preparing meeting rooms and offering refreshments for guests
• Serving formal dinners on occasion
• Greeting formal guests
• Driving the Principals’ when required
• Butler duties i.e. Looking after the male principle and taking care of his clothes/shoes
• Laundry, ironing, care of fine furnishings
• Preparing breakfast
• Cooking dinner on average twice a week
• Wardrobe management, sewing
• Overseeing daily help
• Other ad hoc duties
YOU MUST HAVE / BE:
• Previous experience within formal households
• At least one candidate MUST hold a driving license
• Flexible to work occasional weekends when the Principals’ are in residence or entertaining
• Family cooking skills must be practised and confident
