Business Support OfficerMy Client is a Local Government body located in West London and they are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer for a temporary role with an approximate duration of 6 months. Business Support Officer Role and Responsibilities:Assist and support the Mechanical and Electrical team in the day-to day administration of the Electrical Services area including, but not limited to, the following:Answering resident / contractor enquiries regarding work assignments Provide administrative support to the Team; Answer general enquiries, Supply copy documents Allocate and monitor correspondence Collate performance and statistical information with Strong Excel skills Facilitate good relationships with connected Housing teams Develop and maintain systems, processes and procedures for the following:Filing systems, both manual and computerised The distribution of external and internal mail to all staff within M and E services, ensuring acknowledgements are forwarded as appropriate and within defined time frames Registering and coordinating enquires and the associated responded to ensure the prompt financial payment and collating statistical information by use of CRM Mitie operating system Minute taking; highly proficient as minutes may be used in legal proceedings and contract management disputes Managing data bases once created will be important and we will expect the trackers/data bases to produce automatic data and reports on a weekly basis Provide telephone and office coverage as required Carry out all tasks that are asked of you by you line managersBe energetic and motivated, able to improve weaker areas, have good IT skills to bring to the table and a willingness to learn Cover for other BSO through department holiday / sickness Business Support Officer Essential Knowledge and Skills:Communication Skills - the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbal in different settings, taking into account the needs of the audience Planning, organising and implementing - the ability to set priorities, schedule work and monitor performance so that goals are achieved successfully and on time, incorporating relevant safety and diversity considerations Problem Solving and Creativity - the ability to identify problems, evaluate relevant factors and assess the consequences of proposals to produce practical, high quality solutions. The ability to resolve situations and challenges by applying original thought Decision Making - the ability to apply knowledge, evaluate situations and select safe and effective solutions in good time, being considerate of others Customer Needs - the ability to ascertain and understand internal and external customer needs and react in an appropriate manner, proactively looking for solutions to address customer needs Demonstrate experience in providing accurate administrative support to a M and E team Demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining accurate systems for administrative and reporting purposes Demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel in delivery of the above Desirable:Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification Role: Business Support Officer Duration: approximately. 6 Months Pay Rate: £14.03 per hour Start Date: as soon as possible.
