We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Standards Market Development department in Chiswick, London, working within the Standards Solutions team.

The role would be reporting into the Head of Standards Solutions, and you'll be working with a range of potential sponsors of standards development projects in order to explore the specific issues their industry sector or organisations faces.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be working with other teams within BSI to develop and propose solutions to these issues, with responsibility for the full sales cycle from lead generation to signed agreement.
In order to secure the sponsorship for the standards development projects, you will also be engaging with senior representatives from within government and industry, representing BSI at events and building compelling business cases to help justify an organisation's investment in standards development.

Essential Requirements:
* experience of business or market development activities within a professional services or related environment
* experience of establishing senior level networks across government and industry
* Exceptional networking skills and proven ability to influence senior-decision makers
