Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Business Continuity Manager / Resilience Manager to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, 2 years fixed term contract and will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 - £57,000 per annum.

This great opportunity as our Business Continuity Manager / Resilience Manager means you will proactively develop and continuously improve the management of the Group Emergency Planning and Business Continuity processes. You will also be responsible for minimising disruption to residents and customers caused by serious incidents or disaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects certain aspects of risk management, IT service Continuity and Security. As our Business Continuity Manager / Resilience Manager you will develop strong working relationships with all group entities and external agencies to ensure alignment of responses and best practice.
Knowledge, Skills and experience required by our ideal Business Continuity Manager:
- Extensive Emergency Planning, Business Continuity and Project Management experience preferably in a similar sector.
- Proactive leadership, and experience of operating at a senior level in a large multi sited organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management, IT Disaster Recovery and supply chain continuity.
- experience in understanding when an invocation should be raised, by whom and how.
- experience in leading incidents and working knowledge of who has jurisdiction at certain incidents / at certain times.
- Working knowledge of potential solutions for each aspect of Business Continuity and whether they are appropriate and provide a cost effective solution for the situation.
- experience of leading the decision and challenge of balancing business requirements against the cost of solutions and the impact if no solution was in place.
- The ability to impart this knowledge upwards in order for an informed decision to be made as required.
- Working knowledge and experience of Civil Contingencies Act 2004; Business Continuity Good Practice Guidelines and ISO22301 Standard including;                 - Policy Development and Programme Management
- Risk and Business Impact Assessments
- Strategy and plan development
- Training, awareness and exercising
- Monitoring and continuous improvement

- Good listening skills and ability to interpret data and problem solve
- Ability to work across different locations.
- The ability to lead and develop behaviours required for successful emergency planning and business continuity management.

- Ability to deal with change well and good organisational skills
- Collaborative and influencing skills
- High level IT skills (MS Office) and generally good technological awareness
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued profession development
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
- Does not allow difficulties to get in the way of quality and final delivery
Education / Qualifications required by our ideal Business Continuity Manager:
- Degree or equivalent experience
- CBCI or MBCI/FBCI
- Member of IRM desirable
